To budget for Indonesian sworn translation, request a written quotation for your documents, language pair and intended use. Check how the price is calculated and what the deliverable includes before comparing totals. Translation.co.id confirms the price and deadline for the agreed order; this guide does not set a per-page tariff.

Understand the pricing unit

A page count is useful only when the quotation defines it. Ask whether the charge is based on source pages, translated pages, words or the whole project. If a page has a word limit or another counting rule, have that definition recorded. Do not assume that every provider uses a 250-word page or that source and translated page counts will match.

If the final price depends on the translated length, ask how the estimate will be reconciled and how any additional cost will be agreed. Check for minimum charges and whether the total covers all documents and attachments you submitted.

Give enough information for a usable quotation

Start your enquiry with the document types, approximate length, language pair, intended recipient and deadline. Confirm the file-sharing arrangements before sending sensitive materials. For the quotation itself, the provider may need complete, readable files to assess the work.

Explain any tables, handwriting, technical terminology or required layout. If you have reference spellings or a recipient checklist, include them in the brief. Confirm which language direction is available for sworn translation; do not assume a provider offers every combination.

For visa submissions, the visa translation guide explains how to establish the requirements before ordering. Questions about the signer’s status belong in the legal basis guide.

Check what the total includes

Review the quotation for:

  • The documents, versions and language direction covered.
  • The pricing unit, total, currency and any minimum charge.
  • Whether applicable taxes are included or added.
  • The agreed certification format and digital or hardcopy output.
  • Any additional-copy, delivery or separately agreed service charges.
  • The delivery deadline and any conditions for work to start.
  • Payment stages and responsibility for bank or transfer fees.

If a receiving authority requests notarisation, an apostille or legalisation, confirm the separate requirement, who will arrange it and any applicable charge. These services are not automatically part of a translation quotation. Physical delivery also needs a destination and confirmed arrangements; a translation deadline alone does not establish when a parcel will arrive.

Payment and the start of work

For Translation.co.id orders, the deposit is 50% of the agreed total. The remaining 50% is payable before final files or hardcopy are released. An order is accepted after you approve the written quotation and the company confirms acceptance in writing. Work begins after acceptance, receipt of the deposit, and receipt of the necessary documents and instructions.

Check the payment instructions and currency for your order. Do not assume a particular card, payment gateway or foreign-currency facility is available. Any additional charge for work outside the accepted scope must be explained and agreed before that work is undertaken.

Urgent work and changes

Tell the provider your actual submission deadline and time zone. Urgent work depends on confirmed availability, document volume and the required output. Ask whether an extra charge applies; do not rely on a standard rush percentage or assume same-day delivery is available.

At Translation.co.id, translation, typing, name, number or formatting errors attributable to our work within the agreed scope are corrected at no charge. Necessary reissue, reprinting or resending caused by our error is covered too. This is not limited to a fixed number of correction rounds.

Changes to source documents, new preferences or additional requirements outside the accepted scope may need a new quotation. Agree the price and timing before proceeding.

If you need to cancel, contact the company promptly with your order reference. Receipt of a deposit alone does not count as work performed. Before work starts, payment is refundable less only third-party costs authorised in advance, actually incurred, non-recoverable and lawfully deductible. After work starts, the company also accounts proportionately for work actually performed against the agreed price and scope, without double-counting costs. Any excess payment is refunded; the deposit is not automatically forfeited. Applicable customer rights remain unaffected.

Questions about translation costs

Can I obtain a price without sending the documents?

You can describe the job first. A firm quotation may require a review of the actual files and recipient requirements. Confirm what information is needed and how to share it.

Does a larger order qualify for a discount?

Ask for a quotation covering the complete set. Do not assume a volume discount; compare the agreed scope and total before deciding.

Does paying for a sworn translation guarantee acceptance?

No. Check the receiving institution’s requirements before ordering. If a concern arises, provide its explanation so the company can assess the result against the agreed scope and format. A higher price does not establish acceptance.
